The verdict: Both models FAILED at text rendering — and that IS the story. SD 3.5 used a letter board (wrong medium) and duplicated "Hope Hopequot; in the text. Midjourney at least nailed the chalkboard aesthetic and cozy coffee shop atmosphere, but produced "TODAYS: $SPEICIAL / Hoppe + Clairy" — prices gone, words garbled. Neither model can reliably render specific text. Midjourney wins on atmosphere alone.

Midjourney's golden dragon is curled up, eyes closed, peacefully sleeping — exactly right. Both have the jar closed (prompt said open), but Midjourney's macro photography bokeh is magazine-quality. SD's dragon is pretty. MJ's dragon is correct.

Midjourney — biggest blowout of the series The verdict: SD 3.5 hallucinated a second, smaller astronaut figure crouched on the floor — a classic AI duplication error. The main astronaut and scene are solid, but that phantom figure breaks immersion entirely. Midjourney delivered a jaw-dropping cinematic render: parquet hardwood floor, city lights on Earth, dual candelabra, stacked leather books. Every detail intentional. No anomalies. This is the round that wins the argument. Round 4 Winner: Midjourney.
